Ashley Wade

My name is Ashley Wade and I am a Master’s student at National Taiwan University in Neuroscience. I received my Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Spanish from Colorado State University while conducting research with virtual reality (VR) investigating sensation and perception psychology in Dr. Jessica Witt’s perception laboratory (Link).

My thesis is related to the white matter neurodevelopment in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Dr. Joshua Goh’s Brain and Mind Laboratory and in collaboration with Dr. Shur-Fen Gau (Link). We are investigating the specific white matter developmental trajectories of ASD individuals and typically developing (TD) individuals with Diffusion Spectrum Imaging (DSI) and Functional Magnetic Imaging (fMRI). I have a passion for research and the application within the clinical field. My passion comes from teaching young children for 4 years prior to the master’s program in Vietnam and Taiwan.

Outside of academia, I enjoy running, hiking and exploring all of the beautiful parts of Taiwan.
