Master’s Students
Jing-Yu is an M.Sc. student in Brain and Mind Sciences at National Taiwan University College of Medicine. She holds a B.A. in English and a B.S.S. in Applied Chinese Language and Culture at National Taiwan Normal University.
Her research interests include neuroaesthetics, predictive processing, and music information retrieval. She is currently collaborating with Prof. Chen-Gia Tsai [info] to examine the neural correlates of harmonic ambiguity resolution. Her master thesis project investigates the cognitive and neural mechanisms of seeking information equilibrium in music.
Outside of academia, she works as a freelance interpreter with experiences in conference interpreting, escort interpreting, and translation. She also composes music and plays the Chinese Zither (Guzheng), Sheng, and percussion in Chinese Orchestras.
